Elli Andrews, Akari Tenrou, Zachary Avagadro

Ellii was freezing. She was sure that she was wearing the thickest and warmest coats she had even seen, yet it still seemed cold to her.

The mission, she felt, was simple enough, but lookout duty doesn't seem very appealing when you were doing it in the coldest place on earth. What's more, her small size made it hard to stand against the freezing strong winds that pass ever now and then.

She turned to see how her other two partners for the mission were fairing.

Tenrou was swearing. He knew it would be COLD, and he packed warm clothes, but this was ridiculous. The spear in his hand was covered in ice, thus the perfect blade was now jagged and he couldn't let go of the shaft...it froze to his gloves. The scientists were having trouble keeping up.
~Damn...If it's cold for me, who trained in the Himalaya for weeks, It must be a frozen hell for the others...I guess I should help those scientists...~
-Guys...If you need help, I can carry something for you...just make sure it's hard to break...
*Shouts the martial artist, and he regrets immediately. The cold air enters his mouth, and for a moment it feels like swallowing a chunk of ice.*
~Guess I shouldn't talk so much...~

"I'll help too if you need help." Ellii offered to the scientist as well. She knew that if she kept her body moving, it wouldn't be as cold.

Zachary stomped through the snow behind the scientists. His thick coats were heavy and were slowing him down. He was glad his coat has blocked out most of the cold but walking around in them drained him of his energy.

"Would there be a base for us to stay at?" He asked the scientists.

Ellii sighed to herself. At least we're staying somewhere... "Woah!" the small girl suddenly slipped on some ice and landed on her glove covered hands. The cold was quick to seethe into the gloves, making her hands even more cold.

"Ow! Cold! Are we nearly there yet?" Ellii asked the scientists. She was feeling quite miserable now.

Tenrou and co. travels slowly...cold winds are blowing, and it's hard to walk on the ice.
~Hmm...the scientists say we'll live in a tent... great...it'll be cold even when I sleep...I guess I should try to stay awake as long as I can... People can freeze in their sleep.~
Elli slips, and lands on her hands. She stands up and asks how long it takes to arrive at the so-called campsite.
~Damn... We better move fast... frostbite is quite annoying...~
-Don't talk... try to endure it. The air is cold... We must avoid getting frostbites. If you need help, you can lean on my shoulder...
*Says Tenrou, and he looks around.*
~Damn... That's why I hate cold places...~

A tent?!! Fabulous. Now I'm stuck wearing these for the whole mission. Zachary continued to stomp through the snow.

"How long until we arrive?" He asked again, already sick of the cold.

Since Tenrou had aloud it, Ellii grabbed on to the older boy for suppose.

I am really miserable right now. I'm so pathetic. Ellii thought to herself. It didn't help that she wasn't very physically active like everyone else.

Zachary asks the scientists about the arrival, while Ellii leans on Tenrou for support. The party proceeds miserably slowly trough the barren wastelands of the South Pole.

~Ok...all that remains is to get there... but Zachary is right... It would help to know how long it takes to get there... Wherever we are going...~

~I can't complain... those guys back there are carrying a lot of equipment and they don't complain. I'll show good example as Zhao-sensei did, back in China...~

Ellii sighed in relief in the warmness of the tent. Now she could relax a bit more. The small girl turned to sit in a corner on her own, wanting to keep out of everyone's way.

Then she saw one of the scientists bring out another, smaller, tent. Hmmm, I wonder what that is for...

Zachary climbed into the tent and sat down. Finally... I can get out of these heavy coats... they weigh a ton...
He noticed the smaller tent. That better not be for us....I'm fine right here.

The scientists start putting up a tent and they complain about the finders doing nothing.
-Whoa... Sorry, I kinda spaced out there. Here, let me help you guys.
*Tenrou starts helping the scientists with the work.*
-So that is for the machinery, right? Do we have more than one of these smaller tents? Or we all live in a single one?
~God... I hope they have more than one... Oh... I nearly forgot...~
-Elli-san, is your hand still cold? If it is, warm it up slowly. I'll be here if you need help. Zachary-san, could you help please?
*Looks at his spear.*
~I'll have to clean that... wouldn't want it to break, or rust.~

Ellii sat near a heater to warm up her hands. She was scared that she would get frostbits, and so tried to get it to warm up.

"Ummm... do we Finders have to stand watch?" Ellii nervously asked the scientists. I hope not...

The tents are up, and Tenrou still has some work to do. He enters the tent, and takes off his jacket, leaving a few pullovers on. He sits next to a heater, opens his backpack, takes out a sharpening stone, a piece of dry cloth, and other things, and starts cleaning the blade of the spear, the momento of his dead master.
-How are your hands Elli-san? It doesn't look bad... As for the watch... If they make us stand watch, we'll surely freeze to death

Ellii stuttered slightly and muttered. "I'm not willing to die of the cold."

Rubbing her hands quickly, Ellii tried to gather more warmth into her hands. "My hands should be fine, thanks. As long as I get my blood circulating through them." The girl smiled kindly at Tenrou.

Zachary decided to give the two finders some alone time.

He walked over to the scientists. "So, when are you going to start your researches and experiments?" He asked as casually as he could manage.

The sooner they finish, the sooner we can leave... i hope.

As Elli replies, Zachary walks past them, and starts talking to a scientist. They say, the research will start tomorrow. Tenrou decides to do something rather than sitting in silence.
-I'm glad to hear that Ellii-san If you need help with anything, you can ask me. We are in the same team after all.
*Tenrou walks over to the corner of the tent, takes off a few more pullovers and starts doing press-ups, followed by sit-ups. He continues with his training for an hour*
~Geez...I hate doing this, but sensei always told me to train every day, and I shall be a great man... d*mn... I really do miss that sadistic guy...~
