Leigh smiled at the instructor before turning back to her 'enemy'. she watched the movements it ttok for a moment before lunging again, this time aiming to stab it from a lower point, using the momentum of her jump to drive it deeper into its body. Leigh hoped it would make some damage...

It missed again.
"When the opponent is moving and you are not well enough with your weapon, just try to hit the first place you see as an opportunity. Use your instinct!"

Leigh looked back at the instructor uncertainly, but nodded.

"Insticnt... got it..." she smiled and turned back to the moving puppet. 'instinct... instinct...' She thought, taking a deep breath and a battle stance. the puppet swung back and forth slowly and after a moment, she charged, arm raised high and attempted to stab the puppet.

Perhaps charging head on wasn't a good idea... As the pupet was swinging back at her and with Leigh charging at it... The crash was painful...

Leigh laid on the ground for a moment, blinking away her double vision.

"Ow.... ok.... bad idea...." she groaned as she sat up, rubbing her head gingerly.

"Stupid Puppet!" she glared at the poor inanimate object, which seemed to shirk back in fear of her. The Irish girl pushed herself up off the ground and shook her head wearily.

"Right... umm..." she smiled sheepishly at the instructor, "That... wasnt right was it?"

"If you want to succeed, you have to go through pain. Even she had to! And she had worse things to experience..." stated the instructor a little embarassed by her confession.

Leigh smiled sympathetically and nodded.

'one must go through pain to succeed? I though I've already gone through enough of that...' the girl sighed and shook her head, ridding herself of such depressing thoughts.

"Ok... lets try this again..." Leigh smiled at the instuctor before circling to the side of the swinging puppet, watching it move smoothly from side to side.

"Now!" Leigh yelled, lunging forward, brandishing her dagger as she attempted to stab the puppet in the stomach area, praying that she wouldnt screw up again.

Looks like her logic was right and she did succeed this time. The dagger had went trought the puppet's stomach and even made enought room for her arm to get inside as well.
"She doesn't think that such a thing would be pleasant during a real combat..." stated the instuctor with a weak smile...

Leigh sweatdropped as she attempted to extract her arm from the inside of the puppet.

"N-no... this would not be very pleasant in battle..." she agreed as she freed her arm from the poor puppets stomach, stumbling backwards and triping over a root that protruded from the ground and landing with a thud on her backside.

"...nor would that be very good in battle..." she muttered as she pushed herself up.

"How many more times do I have to get the puppet?" she asked, brushing her dark pants off.

Leigh nodded and smiled, assuming her stance. 'geez... years of martial arts training is nothing compared to dagger use...' she thought with a sigh, before tracking the puppets movements with her eyes again.

she spotted the angle she wanted to hit and charged, leaping up into the air and landing on the puppet, he dagger clutched in her hand as he attempted to plunge it through the poor puppets head.

She hit the puppet in the head. It wasn't a bad hit, but it needed just a little more perfection.

Leigh jumped back from the puppet grinning as she landed in a crouch on the soft grass of the clearing.

"I did it!" she cheered hopping up and down in joy, "I didnt screw up again! I'll get it perfect this time!" Leigh laughed and turned back to the puppet, racing forward, dagger pointed towards the puppet and she faked to the side, before thrusting her arm forward, attempting to stab the puppet.

Leigh grinned excitedly and looked back at the instructor with sparkling eyes, "That was so cool..." she muttered to herself, "Do you want me to do that again?"

Leigh opened her mouth to reply, only to be intterupted by a rather loud growl. she blushed and placed a hand on her stomach with a sheepish smile.

"Ah... it seems I forgot to eat again... I think I'm familiar enough with my weapon to be alright! Thank you so much for your teaching!" Leigh bowed before grinning and dashing out of the clearing, waving as she shoulted over her shoulder,

"Bye! see you around!" and with that she walked back into the halls of the order, set on finding the cafeteria and geting some food-shaped goodness.
