an off white carpet adorened the floor, soft beneith the feet of anyone who entered the room. a window with no curtains, was on the far side of the room, directly across from the door, which was on the right hand side of the door. a plain, clunky old wooden desk, covered haphazardly with various papers and writing utensils was pushed up against the wall, forward enough that if one was to lean forward over said desk, they couldnt see out the window. a chair was tucked neatly in place, the back of it sagging backwards a bit, as if someone leaned back to stare out the window often. across the room, pushed up against the other wall is a bed big enough for one person with a pale turquois blanket that look warm and comforting clumsily pulled over the thin matress, giving the impression the bed was made, when in realitly it was not. a pillow laid on the floor beside the bed innocently while its twin drooped lazily over the edge of the mattress. a small bedside table sat beside the head of the bed, with a small lamp and a picture of a young girl hugging a younger boy sitting with slightly burnt edges in a light blue frame. there was a functional wooden wardrobe, one door left partialy open, shoved into the far corner of the room. the room had a comfortable air to it, the general disarray bringing a cozy feeling to the place. the sunlight flitering in and onto the bed brightening the closed in area, making it feel cheerful.
